Starting this Saturday,

the Aldi and Lidl chains will be able to sell self-diagnostic tests for Covid in their supermarkets in Germany.

They will do so after receiving authorization from the German Government, which will allow its sale in pharmacies, drug stores and supermarkets.

In Spain they will not be able to do so, as the legislation does not allow it,

as confirmed by one of these chains.

In Germany they will be sold from five euros to 19.

However, your purchase will be limited to a maximum of five per person.

The kit includes the swab that is inserted into the nose to obtain the sample.

The result will be available in 15 minutes and with an efficiency of between 80 and 96%.

In Spain, masks are sold in supermarkets, although at the beginning of the pandemic the sector was reluctant to commercialize them.

What is not allowed at the moment is the sale of diagnostic tests.
