Li Keqiang said that the main expected goals for development this year are:

GDP growth of more than 6%; more than 11 million new jobs in urban areas, urban surveyed unemployment rate of about 5.5%, consumer price increase of about 3%, and steady and qualitative increase in import and export volume. , The balance of payments is basically balanced; the income of residents has increased steadily; the quality of the ecological environment has been further improved, the energy consumption per unit of GDP has been reduced by about 3%, and the discharge of major pollutants has continued to decline; the output of grain has remained above 1.3 trillion catties.

The 2020 government work report did not propose specific targets for annual economic growth.

This is the fourth time since the reform and opening up. The first three were in 2000, 2001 and 2002.

The reason why no specific economic growth target has been set in 2020 is mainly because the global epidemic and economic and trade situation are very uncertain, and China's development is facing some unpredictable factors.

However, in 2020, China's economy has handed in an answer that has attracted the attention of the world.

GDP fell by 6.8% in the first quarter, 3.2% in the second quarter, 4.9% in the third quarter, and 6.5% in the fourth quarter.

The annual GDP of 101,5986 billion yuan, calculated at comparable prices, increased by 2.3% over the previous year, breaking the 100 trillion yuan mark for the first time, and was the only major economy in the world to achieve positive economic growth.

"The past year has been extremely extraordinary in the history of New China." Li Keqiang said, "The main development goals and tasks for the whole year have been well accomplished, and my country's reform and opening up and socialist modernization have made new and significant progress."

Li Keqiang said that the economic growth rate is a comprehensive indicator, and the expected target for this year is set at more than 6%. Taking into account the recovery of economic operations, it will help guide all parties to focus on promoting reform and innovation and promoting high-quality development.

The expected goals of economic growth, employment, and prices reflect the requirements for maintaining economic operations within a reasonable range, and steadily connect with future goals, which are conducive to the realization of sustainable and healthy development.
