The future Toyota Aygo -

DR

Recently, Luca de Meo boss of Renault, announced that the Twingo would not be renewed for lack of sufficient profitability.

Before that, Peugeot and Citroën had already said they did not want to replace the 108 and C1, produced on the same basis as the Toyota Aygo.

To date, it is not known whether these manufacturers are simply referring to the mini-city car segment, or if the intention is to no longer offer only electric cars in this category.

Who will live ...

But Toyota, since we are talking about it, has on the contrary just confirmed the replacement this year of the Aygo.

Based on the Yaris platform, the small Japanese will also be manufactured in the Valenciennes plant, at just over 500,000 copies per year.

In order for it to have an attractive price (the main quality sought after by customers in this segment according to Toyota), the manufacturer will only offer it with petrol mechanics.
