She said that at the request of the Moscow Prosecutor's Office, the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) conducted an unscheduled inspection of the activities of a number of large economic entities and revealed signs of violation of the law on the protection of competition in two organizations, which could lead to the establishment or maintenance of sugar prices.

“In order to prevent an unjustified increase in sugar prices, Moscow Prosecutor Denis Popov issued warnings to the heads of two companies, in whose actions there were signs of violations,” TASS quotes her.

In February, the head of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade Maxim Reshetnikov noted that sugar prices in Russia fell after the conclusion of agreements on price stabilization.
