  Data show that in January, energy prices in the OECD region fell 3.9% year-on-year, which was lower than the 6.5% decline in the previous month; food prices rose 3.1% year-on-year, which was slightly lower than the 3.2% increase in the previous month.

Excluding energy and food prices, the core consumer price index in the OECD region rose 1.7% year-on-year that month, which was higher than the 1.6% increase in the previous month.

  In the same month, among the major developed member countries of the OECD, the inflation rates in Germany, France, and Italy increased significantly, while the inflation rates in Canada and the United Kingdom were relatively low. The United States remained unchanged at 1.4%, while the consumer price index in Japan continued to decline, with a decrease of 0.6%. This is down from 1.2% in the previous month.

  The data also showed that the Eurozone inflation rate rose to 0.9% in January, and the core consumer price index rose 1.4% year-on-year.
