China News Service, Beijing, March 3 (Reporter Yan Xiaohong) The China Automobile Dealers Association released the latest issue of the "Auto Consumption Index" on the 3rd: The auto consumption index in February was 64.4; it is expected that China's auto market sales will rebound in March.

According to the analysis of the China Automobile Dealers Association, due to the prevention and control of the epidemic around the Spring Festival, the number of people returning to their hometown for the holiday has decreased, and some car purchase needs have been delayed.

At the same time, the government's policy to encourage automobile consumption will continue, and will extend from the promotion of new car consumption to the entire life cycle of second-hand cars, aftermarkets, and end-of-life renewal. China's automobile market is expected to pick up further.

Judging from the sub-indices that make up the auto consumption index, the demand sub-index in February was 109.8, a sharp increase from the previous month, reaching the level of the same period in 2018.

The sub-index of shop visits in February was 65.9, an increase from the previous month.

As the weather picks up, shoppers visit more stores.

However, the sub-index of shop entry is lower than the same period in previous years (excluding the year). This is related to the fact that consumers have more to determine the brand and compare prices before buying a car.

The purchasing sub-index in February was 109.7, and consumers' actual purchasing intentions increased.

After the Spring Festival, the epidemic prevention and control situation eased, residents' consumer confidence increased, and the enthusiasm for car buying increased significantly.

The China Automobile Dealers Association stated that with the reduction of large-scale population movements during the Spring Festival and the normalization of epidemic prevention and control, the production and life of residents returned to normal in March, and residents' consumption confidence increased.

In addition, with the increase in the number of dealers to lift cars in March, in order to achieve the quarterly goal, dealers will increase their promotional margins.

During the same period, holding auto shows in many places across the country will promote the growth of car sales in some regions, and a variety of new cars will be launched in March, which will also become a favorable factor for driving the growth of car sales.

In summary, the China Automobile Dealers Association predicts that the national automobile market demand will rebound rapidly in March.
