There is a possibility that the fee paid to the bank when transferring money will be cheaper.

In light of the fact that the fees associated with remittances of network systems connecting banks have remained high, the organizations that operate the systems have decided to reduce the fees by about half.

When an individual or a company transfers money from a bank with a deposit account to another bank, a network called the "Zengin System" is mainly used.

However, it has been pointed out that the fees exchanged between banks for remittances have been fixed for more than 40 years, and as a result, the transfer fees paid by users to banks remain high.

For this reason, according to the people concerned, the "National Bank Funds Settlement Network", the organization that operates the system, has decided to reduce the remittance fee between banks to about half of what it is now, in consultation with the Financial Services Agency.

Specifically, we are making final adjustments to the uniform fee of 62 yen, which is set at 117 yen for remittances of less than 30,000 yen and 162 yen for remittances of 30,000 yen or more.

The time for the reduction is that it is scheduled for October.

Regarding this fee, the Fair Trade Commission compiled a report last year calling for a de facto reduction, and this time, the fee paid to the bank when the user transfers money due to the decision on the reduction policy There is a possibility that it will be cheaper.
