China News Service, Beijing, March 2 (Reporter Ruan Yulin) The China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing released data on the 2nd, showing that the prosperity index of China's logistics industry in February was 49.8%, a drop of 4.6 percentage points from the previous month.

According to the analysis, due to holiday factors, the growth of logistics business activities has weakened. As the new production and construction cycle enters, the scale of logistics business activities will maintain a moderate growth.

He Hui, assistant to the chairman of the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing and the director of the China Logistics Information Center, believes that in February, despite the influence of holiday factors and the need to strengthen cold chain logistics and local epidemic prevention and control, the logistics industry prosperity index fell to 49.8%. However, the overall index level remained basically stable, and was significantly better than the same period last year.

From an industry perspective, the express delivery industry and cold chain logistics are mainly affected.

Looking at the business activity expectation index, it has risen sharply to a high level of more than 65%, reflecting that with the overall improvement of the epidemic prevention and control situation and the arrival of the production and construction season, logistics companies are generally optimistic about market trends.

Data show that in February, the average inventory index fell 1.8 percentage points to 48.2%; the inventory turnover index fell 7.7 percentage points to 45.6%.

The two inventory indexes both show a cyclical decline, and due to the strong consumer demand, there will be a substantial recovery growth.

According to the analysis, in February, affected by the slowdown of production and construction activities, the weakening of the growth of logistics business, and the return of employees during the Spring Festival, the employment index fell, down 5.2 percentage points from the previous month, and fell to 45%. With the continuous improvement of workers' awareness of the logistics industry, the labor-intensive logistics industry has a large demand for labor. It is expected that the index will gradually rise to the pre-holiday level starting in March.

According to the analysis, from the perspective of the later trend, the new order index is 50.4%, and the business activity expectation index is 65.8%, indicating that the new production and construction cycle will be entered, and logistics activities will become active, maintaining a moderate growth and stable operation.
