The Dubai Economy reported that today it confiscated millions of pieces of medical masks of unknown source, at an unlicensed warehouse owned by a shipping company in the Ras Al Khor area in Dubai, in violation of the law and authorized activity, and the warehouse was closed and the necessary violations were released.

Ibrahim Behzad, Director of the Intellectual Property Department in the Dubai Economy, told Al-Emarat Al-Youm that in the context of the continuing campaigns and inspection visits by the control and consumer protection sector teams in the Dubai economy on the markets, a commercial warehouse was inspected in Ras Al-Khor.

He explained that during the inspection process, it was found that there is a collection center on the second floor of the warehouse, where millions of pieces of medical masks of unknown origin are being repacked into branded packages in preparation for resale in the market.

Behzad said that thousands of pieces of cloth masks of unknown origin were also seized, which will be manufactured and packaged in the same way, indicating that the Dubai Economic Inspectors are currently conducting an inventory of the seizures within the framework of the established procedures, as these masks are confiscated and the warehouse is closed and violated according to the legal procedures.
