A remarkable achievement

He added: “The rate of reducing the use of paper in all agencies implementing the strategy has reached 82.82%, saving 269 million 898 thousand and 621 papers. Thus, the strategy has achieved savings of 1.13 billion dirhams, saved 12 million and 138 thousand and 416 hours of work, and saved 32 thousand and 388 trees. It was used to make paper. ”

It is noteworthy that the "Dubai Paperless Strategy" is to be implemented in all government agencies in Dubai, in order to digitize the main government services, take advantage of the (Dubai Now) application and present them on a single platform.

The Dubai Paperless Strategy has been implemented in several stages, at a time when each stage includes a new group of government agencies in Dubai, which seek to reduce their paper consumption by 50%, in the first six months.

The first group, consisting of six entities, began implementing the strategy in February 2018, and at that time exceeded its target, reducing its collective paper consumption by 57% at the end of 2018, while the fifth group of seven parties joined in March 2020, bringing the total to 41 destinations.
