While the delay in digitalization of Japan has been pointed out, the American Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Japan has summarized the issues that Japan should tackle by 2030, such as the significant increase in digital human resources.

This proposal was compiled by the American Chamber of Commerce in Japan, which is a member of foreign-affiliated companies such as the United States, and was announced at an online event held on the 25th.

Regarding the current situation of Japan, he pointed out that despite being the world's third-largest economy, his international competitiveness remains the world's 27th, and he must make major reforms over the next 10 years. For example, the current economic power cannot be maintained.

On top of that, as issues to be tackled by 2030, we will increase the number of digital human resources such as software development engineers more than three times the current level, utilize technologies such as electronic commerce and AI in major industries such as automobiles and finance, and further. Public services also mention that stamps and faxes will be abolished and digitization will be promoted.

He also points out the importance of fostering venture companies that work to solve global issues, saying that there are few promising venture companies called "unicorns" in Japan.

On the other hand, he points out the precedent principle of trying to avoid risks as a factor that hinders such reforms, and says that leadership and strong will are indispensable for the realization of reforms.
