As Seibert noted, for this reason Berlin actively participated in the fact that, with European mediation, Moscow and Kiev concluded a new transit agreement.

Earlier, Polish Foreign Minister Zbigniew Rau and his Ukrainian counterpart Dmitry Kuleba appealed to US President Joe Biden to use all means to prevent the completion of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline.
