Dubai DED closes a travel and tourism office that sells Corona tests
Dubai Economy reported that the Commercial Control and Consumer Protection Sector closed the office of a travel agent in the Business Bay area selling Corona inspection services and promoting them cautiously through the WhatsApp messaging application, which is an explicit violation of commercial activity, indicating that the sale "Covid-19" examination services are within the competence of medical facilities licensed by the Ministry of Health and the Dubai Health Authority.
Dubai Economy explained in a statement today that after receiving a note from a consumer of the Commercial Control and Consumer Protection Sector working group for not being satisfied with the quality of the home inspection service for "Covid-19", the commercial control team collected information about the service provider and tracked the mechanism used to promote the service, As it turns out that the service provider is a travel tourism office that receives customer requests through a commercial "WhatsApp" account, and asks customers to choose the appropriate date, fill in their data, attach copies of passports through an electronic link, and then pay electronically for the service.
She added that the office was closed and the Health Authority was provided with information related to the laboratories cooperating with the violator.
