Different from the previous Luohu and Futian pilots, the Shenzhen Longhua Digital RMB pilot is more inclusive, with a wider audience and more coverage of people who are not sensitive and unfamiliar with new payment methods.

Digital RMB advances and accelerates

  Since Shenzhen first launched a digital RMB red envelope pilot program in October last year, the pace of digital RMB pilot testing for the public has gradually accelerated.

  Up to now, the digital renminbi has been piloted internally in Shenzhen, Suzhou, Xiongan New District, Chengdu and future Winter Olympic scenes.

She expects that subsequent trials will make greater breakthroughs in online usage scenarios, and in the future, digital RMB will gradually penetrate into retail scenarios such as travel, e-commerce, and short videos.

  Industry insiders suggest that the digital renminbi needs to take care of the elderly and people in underdeveloped areas fairly.
