At the same time, the committee stated the need to clarify a number of points and deal with the absence of the concept of "digital currency" in the Civil Code.
It is noted that the bill provides that digital currency is not subject to depreciation, and transactions associated with its circulation are not recognized as subject to VAT.
The Committee intends to clarify for the second reading whether the organization of the issue and circulation of digital currency in the country, as well as its circulation itself, relate to such operations.
Earlier, economist Vasily Koltashov, in an interview with FAN, assessed the prospects for the introduction of the digital ruble.
