"Dubai Multi Commodities" records the highest number of companies despite "Corona"

The Dubai Multi Commodities Center, the first free zone in the world and the authority of the Dubai government in the field of commodity and enterprise trade, announced a record performance during 2020, despite the repercussions imposed by the "Corona" pandemic.

The center stated in a statement today that it achieved a record by registering 2025 new companies last year, pointing out that it is the highest number of registered companies in five years, while the rate of maintaining registered companies was the highest ever.

The center attributed the strong performance, in the first place, to the business support package that was launched in March 2020 and which witnessed interest from companies in 149 countries, as more than 8,000 member companies benefited from more than 13,000 offers and incentives presented during the year. 2020.

The first CEO and CEO of the center, Ahmed Bin Sulayem, said: “2020 was an exceptional year, during which a state of uncertainty prevailed in the markets, in addition to geopolitical tensions and the repercussions of the pandemic crisis (Covid-19).”
