The "Global Logistic Passport" initiative, the pioneering initiative that was launched to promote commercial opportunities among developing markets, today welcomed the participation of Israel in the program, and the signing ceremony of the agreement was held virtually with the Federation of Israeli Chambers of Commerce, making Israel the 10th country to join the initiative after the recent announcement. On his part, Shani said: “We are very pleased to join the Global Logistic Passport Network as a partner, and we are confident that members will benefit greatly from the Global Incentive Program to enhance their business opportunities.”

He added, "This partnership will allow Israeli companies to reduce costs and enhance the supply chain to and from Israel by using Dubai as a logistical center for new markets. The Abraham Agreement and Israel's ties to Dubai will also enable it to become a regional and global destination, open new trade routes and distinctive possibilities for trade exchange."

It is noteworthy that the volume of trade exchange between Dubai and Israel during the period between September 2020 and January 2021 reached one billion dirhams, and this included 6,217 tons of sea and air freight between the two sides.

Major imports and exports included mechanical, medical and electronic devices, flat screens and smartphones, diamonds, and engine spare parts.
