According to the report, in response to the recent social concern about the authority of microphones, address books, and photo albums, in accordance with the "Network Security Law", "Telecommunication Regulations", "Provisions on the Protection of Personal Information of Telecommunications and Internet Users" and other laws and regulations, combined with the "On the development of in-depth promotion of APP infringement on users "Notice on special rectification actions for rights and interests" (Ministry of Industry and Information Technology Xinguanhan [2020] No. 164), the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology organized a third-party testing agency to inspect mobile phone applications and urged companies with problems to make rectifications.
Up to now, there are still 26 APPs that have not been rectified, and the above-mentioned APPs should complete the rectification and implementation work before February 10.
If rectification is not made within the time limit, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will organize and carry out relevant disposal work in accordance with laws and regulations.
