A member of the LFP's Board of Directors said on Monday that the tender for Ligue 1 TV rights was unsuccessful.

The call for tenders for the re-allocation of most of the television rights of Ligue 1 and Ligue 2 has proved unsuccessful, announced Monday the president of the players' union, Philippe Piat, member of the board of directors of the LFP, exacerbating the crisis in French football.

From now on, negotiations will be by mutual agreement to allocate the rights, he said.

"The candidates' offers were lower than the reserve prices, end of the match," said the boss of the UNFP (National Union of Professional Footballers) leaving the headquarters of the Professional Football League (LFP).
