Some 120 personalities pleaded, this Sunday in the JDD, for the government to act in favor of a "joint recovery" and a "change of model", in favor of gender equality in business.

Among the signatories are notably the former MP Marie-Jo Zimmermann, co-author of the Copé-Zimmermann law which imposed a quota of women on the boards of directors of companies, or even business leaders and representatives of networks such as Digital Girls, Action'Elles or Force femmes.

Quotas "in technological sectors"

“Mr. President of the Republic”, they wrote to Emmanuel Macron, “the world after cannot be reduced to simply resuming the course of our lives by denying the existing imbalances.

We must in particular face the economic inequality between women and men and move, together, towards a profound change of model, towards more equality ”.

Among the measures requested: quotas not only in the boards of directors but also in the management committees and the executive committees of the companies, as well as "in the technological sectors".

Funding based on respect for equality

For the employees, the authors of the forum are calling for "a revaluation" with a "Pay Equity Act, as in Canada, for example making it possible to compare the wages of nurses to that of technicians in another field involving the same level of responsibility", because "it is no longer acceptable that the lowest paid trades are also the most feminized trades".

Other axes of action, financing, for which "the State must show the example by applying the principle of" equal conditionality "of public financing, through its direct participations and loans as well as through the funds that 'he supports ", or" an effective national plan for very small businesses "which" would guarantee equal access to entrepreneurship and its growth, whether women or men ".
