KCC Honorary Chairman Sang-young Sang-young, the youngest brother of the late Chairman Chung Ju-young of Hyundai Group, passed away today (30th) at the age of 84.
Born in Tongcheon, Gangwon-do, Emeritus Chairman Chung founded Geumgang Thread Industries in 1958 when he was 22 years old, and has since grown into KCC, a high-tech material chemical company through Korea Chemical and Geumgang Korea Chemical.
Honorary Chairman Chung has been on the front line of management for more than 60 years, including attending the company until the end of last year.
The era of the first generation of entrepreneurship has come to an end with Hang-ryul, a young man, with honorary Chairman Chung.
