According to the website of the State Administration for Market Regulation, Guangzhou Xiaopeng Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. was entrusted recently in accordance with the requirements of the "Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products" and the "Measures for the Implementation of the Regulations on the Recall of Defective Automobile Products" The recall plan was filed with the State Administration for Market Regulation, and it was decided to recall some of the Xiaopeng G3 vehicles produced from March 29, 2019 to September 27, 2020, starting from January 30, 2021, for a total of 13,399 vehicles.

  For vehicles within the scope of this recall, the tin-plated terminals connected to the copper bar screws on the inverter DC bus capacitors may cause a short circuit between the positive and negative electrodes of the high-voltage DC due to tin whiskers, resulting in no high-voltage power supply to the inverter.

When this happens, if the vehicle is in a parking state, it may not be able to start again; if the vehicle is in a driving state, it may cause the vehicle to lose power, posing a safety hazard.

Guangzhou Xiaopeng Automobile Technology Co., Ltd. will replace the improved inverters for vehicles within the scope of the recall free of charge to eliminate potential safety hazards.
