Number of housing starts last year to the lowest level in the last 10 years

The number of homes built nationwide in the last year fell 9.9% from the previous year to 815,340, the fourth consecutive year of decline, the lowest level in the last decade.

Owner-occupiers, rental homes, and condominiums all fell below the previous year, and demand continues to decline due to the spread of the new coronavirus infection.
