This month's Consumer Attitude Index, which shows consumers' willingness to shop, was 29.6 for households with two or more people, down 2.2 points from the previous month for the second straight month.

The Cabinet Office has revised down the keynote judgment of consumer sentiment from "stepping on" to "weak".



The consumer attitude index continued to rise after dropping to a record low of 21.6 in April last year due to the impact of the new coronavirus, but turned to a decline last month.
