Etihad Airways permit for flights to Britain

Etihad Airways, the national airline of the United Arab Emirates, has announced the suspension of all flights to Britain from Friday at 1 pm (GMT) until further notice, based on directives issued by the British government.


A spokesperson for Etihad Airways said that crews are communicating with affected passengers to inform them of the suspension of flights and to help them adjust their travel plans.


The spokesman added that Etihad Airways flights EY11, departing from Abu Dhabi and EY19, to London Heathrow Airport, and EY21, which takes off to Manchester today, will operate according to the schedule, while flights departing from the United Kingdom will not be affected.


The spokesman noted that more information will be available on etihad.com, via the smart phone application, or by calling the Etihad Airways Contact Center from within the UAE at 600 555 666.



The spokesperson advised travelers who have booked their tickets through travel agents to speak to the relevant travel agency for assistance.


He expressed his regret for any inconvenience that may arise as a result of this comment, indicating that more information will be provided as soon as it is received.
