Shinichiro Okawa, who was the counselor of the Planning Bureau at the head office, was appointed as the new branch manager of the BOJ Matsumoto branch on the 25th.

Mr. Okawa, who became the manager of the Bank of Japan Matsumoto branch, is 49 years old from Kanagawa prefecture.



After joining the Bank of Japan in 1994, he worked as a planner for the Policy Committee Office and the director of the Washington Office, and since 2018 he has been a counselor for the Planning Bureau, which formulates monetary policy.



Meanwhile, Kenji Wada, who had been the manager of the Matsumoto branch, became a counselor at the Institute for Monetary and Financial Sciences on the 25th.
