Dubai Chamber and the business community bid farewell to Nizar Sardast

The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry today mourned the death of one of the most prominent personalities, the former General Director of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, and the Chamber's General Counsel, Mr. Nizar Sardast.

Mr. Nizar Sardast is considered one of the exceptional personalities who gave a lot to the Emirate of Dubai and the Dubai Chamber, and he had a prominent role in shaping the future of the partnership between the public and private sectors in the Emirate of Dubai, with clear and influential imprints on the march of the business community, and the position of the Dubai Chamber as a representative of the private sector and a partner in the march economical development.  

Sardast assumed the position of Director General of the Dubai Chamber in June 1974 at a time when the emirate was reaping the fruits of the Federation of the United Arab Emirates, and focused in its work on settling commercial disputes, reviewing local legislation and laws at that time, including the customs law, price control of medicines and the regulation of the export of dried fish. The Chamber in the mid-seventies, under his supervision, to contribute, in cooperation with those in charge of the Chamber, to laying the appropriate ground for organizing international exhibitions, so the Chamber organized exhibitions before the establishment of the Dubai World Trade Center, and at that time it played a key role in establishing the position that Dubai currently occupies as the global capital of exhibitions and conferences.

Sardast has always enumerated the reasons for the success of the Emirate of Dubai on the global stage, considering the clear and insightful vision of the rulers of Dubai, the emirate’s interest in establishing an advanced infrastructure, and the true strategic partnership between the public and private sectors, as he lived his life to witness an exceptional growth process for the Emirate of Dubai, the pillars of which are the strong partnership between the private sector And relevant government agencies.   

Sardest Dubai subsequently served through his position as a general advisor to the Chamber, and head of the Chamber's Business Policy Committee, which was carrying out the tasks of reviewing local, federal and Gulf laws and legislations, and submitting proposals to amend and update legislation to the General Secretariat of the Supreme Legislation Committee in the Emirate of Dubai, until he passed away yesterday on the ground Dubai.  

The Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Majid Saif Al Ghurair, mourned Nizar Sardast in a tweet in which he said: “Yesterday we lost a person who gave 47 years of life in the service of Dubai, especially the Dubai Chamber. Nizar Sardast, may God’s mercy on him, inspire patience and solace to his family.”

The Director General of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Hamad Buamim, mourned Mr. Nizar Sidraset in a speech to the Chamber's employees, recalling his fragrant biography and his effective contribution to achieving the Chamber's goals and achievements over the years, describing him as an exceptional personality that was an example of high professionalism, commitment and dedication to work throughout A distinguished march of giving.
