According to news from the customs deployment website, recently, the General Administration of Customs and the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs jointly issued a notice on preventing the introduction of Senegal's highly pathogenic avian influenza into our country, mentioning that it is prohibited to import poultry directly or indirectly from Senegal And related products, it is prohibited to send or bring poultry and products from Senegal into the country.
The announcement stated that recently, Senegalese officials notified the World Organization for Animal Health about the occurrence of the H5N1 subtype highly pathogenic avian influenza in the country's poultry.
In order to protect the safety of our country’s animal husbandry and prevent the introduction of the epidemic, in accordance with the "Customs Law of the People's Republic of China", "The Entry and Exit Animal and Plant Quarantine Law of the People's Republic of China" and other relevant laws and regulations, the announcement is as follows:
1. It is forbidden to import poultry and related products directly or indirectly from Senegal (products that originate from unprocessed poultry or are processed but may still transmit disease).
2. It is prohibited to send or bring poultry and products from Senegal into the country.
Once found, they will be returned or destroyed.
3. If any poultry and products from Senegal are found on the inbound means of transport (such as ships, aircrafts, international trains, etc.), they will be sealed and stored, and they will not be allowed without customs permission during their stay or operation in my country. Unsealed and used.
All wastes and swill shall be treated harmlessly under the supervision of the customs and shall not be discarded without authorization.
If an avian flu epidemic is found on the means of transportation, the epidemic prevention and disinfection treatment shall be strictly implemented in accordance with the law.
4. All the poultry and products from Senegal intercepted by border guards and other departments that have entered illegally from Senegal shall be destroyed under the supervision of the customs.
5. Anyone who violates the above regulations shall be dealt with by the customs in accordance with the relevant provisions of the "Customs Law of the People's Republic of China", "The Entry and Exit Animal and Plant Quarantine Law of the People's Republic of China" and its implementing regulations.
6. All customs, animal disease prevention and control agencies at all levels, and animal health supervision agencies shall respectively comply with the relevant provisions of the Customs Law of the People’s Republic of China, the Entry and Exit Animal and Plant Quarantine Law of the People’s Republic of China, and the Animal Epidemic Prevention Law of the People’s Republic of China. Cooperate closely to do a good job in quarantine, epidemic prevention and supervision.
