The labor union of Mazda, an automobile manufacturer, has decided to raise the so-called basic salary and forgo the demand equivalent to a bear in this spring battle.

It is the first time in eight years that Bear's request has been forgotten because the severe business environment continues due to the influence of the new coronavirus.

According to the people concerned, the Mazda Workers Union has decided to forgo the request equivalent to the so-called basic salary increase and bear-base increase in this spring battle, and to only secure a regular salary increase.

This is because sales have fallen due to the impact of the new coronavirus, and the financial results for the fiscal year ending March are expected to reach a final deficit of 90 billion yen, and severe management continues.

It is the first time in eight years since 2013 that the Mazda union has forgotten Bear's request.

On the other hand, regarding the lump-sum payment, which is a bonus, it is said that employees are continuing their efforts to increase productivity even in a difficult business environment. It is expected to request a month's worth.

The Mazda Workers Union decided on these requests as an executive proposal on the 22nd, and will submit the request to the management side on the 17th next month.

In addition, the National Federation of Mazda Workers Unions, which is made up of labor unions of Mazda-affiliated parts manufacturers, has also decided to forgo unified bear requests.
