He added that the year 2020 was the weakest in terms of growth in China’s economy in decades, and less than its previous lowest level in 1990, stressing that despite this, it was ahead of the United States and other major economies.

The office indicated that economic growth was supported by global demand for Chinese-made masks and other medical supplies, as exports increased 3.6% over the past year, despite the tariff war with Washington.
