<Anchor> It is a

friendly economic time.

Reporter Kim Hye-min is also here today (21st).

Good morning?

Today, as a result of the family relationship perception survey, there seem to be many interesting stories, so let's talk about it.

How satisfied are there differences between men and women?

<Reporter>

Yes, Seoul City once asked citizens how satisfied they are with their family relationships.

First, both men and women felt happiest when they were not married, that is, when they were single.

More than 60% of those who said they were very satisfied or slightly satisfied, but when they got married, this fell a little, so men said they were 55.7% satisfied, and women only 47.2% satisfied.

Still, men are living more satisfied with their marriage.

There was some remarkable part, when the family relationship that men felt most dissatisfied with was when they divorced.

When I had a wife, only 1.2% said they were unsatisfied, but this rose to 16% when I got divorced.

And they replied that both men and women were more satisfied with their lives when they had two more income than when they had no children and when only one person was working.

things you just said were the general family relationship.

And probably among the people who heard this news, I think you might say a lot of things to your husbands when you're there.

<Reporter>

First of all, at a glance, 6 out of 10 women and 7 out of 10 men answered that they were satisfied with their spouse.

I saw this by generations. Both men and women were most satisfied with their spouse when they were in their twenties, and it steadily declined with age.

In particular, the percentage of women who answered that they were satisfied with their husbands fell sharply.If you look at the graph, it rose to 88% in their 20s. The gap between them is widening more and more.

As women get older, they seem to be more content and more focused on their relationships with friends and surrounding people rather than their husbands.

husbands work a lot at home these days, but the results of this survey also make me think that I will have to try a little more.

But in fact, these days, couples have to work for a company, have to live, and raise children, and they really don't have their own time.

I think this part has affected the satisfaction level.

<Reporter>

There were many couples who felt that they were running out of time, but when I asked where they wanted to reduce the time spent most, it was a little different.

Married women were similar in number of people who wanted to reduce working hours and housework hours at work, while married men wanted to reduce working hours, and over 70% of them were overwhelming.

Second, we chose travel time, and in fact, women spend about three times more time doing housework than men.

On the other hand, there were more men working hours.

It is said that men worked 5.5 hours a week more than women.

In addition, there are cases where husbands commute away from work for their families.

It seems that all of these situations are reflected.

Then, there shouldn't be a little free time.

So, are these leisure hours being used to help relieve stress?

<Reporter> What is a

little interesting is how the Korean people spend this leisure time to some extent.

Both women and men spend the most time watching media, such as TV or YouTube.

It averages about 3 and a half hours per day, which is about half of the total leisure time.

This is a 2019 survey, so now, because of Corona 19, the time I spend watching the media has increased a bit.

So, who do you usually spend your leisure time with?

People spend the most with their family at 36%, but the percentage that they spend alone is close to this.

Also, on weekdays, men and women on weekends share leisure activities with their families.

Now, with Corona 19, many people are hit by housework and childcare, and even if they have free time, their lives are prolonged.

When the corona is over, we recommend using a variety of leisure time.

Actually, however, even if I try to enjoy some leisure, I think the reality is that there is no right place to go.

(Right now.) So, it seems necessary for the government to provide lots of spaces for so many families to enjoy together.
