Nasdaq Dubai stated, in a statement, that these bonds are the first public debt issuance in the UAE in 2021, indicating that their proceeds will enhance the efforts of Emirates NBD in order to support its customers and the UAE economy as a whole during its comprehensive recovery from the effects of “Covid-19”. ».

According to the statement, these five-year bonds were issued at an interest rate of 1.638%, the lowest rate ever for a five-year transaction by Emirates NBD.

The issuance attracted orders worth $ 2.3 billion from more than 140 accounts.

Global demand was 49% from Asia, 35% from Europe, 11% from the Middle East and North Africa, and 5% from the United States and others.
