Nissan Motor has decided to appoint about 800 clerical contract employees such as the head office and R & D facilities as full-time employees from April this year.

While aiming to recover business performance, we aim to have experienced personnel work for as long as possible.

According to the people concerned, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. has decided to make fixed-term contract employees who are currently working at the head office, factories, and R & D facilities in Yokohama City into full-time employees from April.

The target is all Nissan contract employees, about 800 people who are in charge of clerical work in departments such as accounting and human resources.

Nissan, which continued to suffer from sluggish sales, suffered severe business performance last year when management was confused by the case of former chairman Ghosn, and is expected to have a final deficit of over 600 billion yen this year due to the effects of the new coronavirus.

As the company aims to recover its business performance in the future, it seems that the aim is to have experienced personnel work for as long as possible.

Domestic companies will start the spring labor-management negotiations = spring battle, but Keidanren is expected to show a cautious policy to raise wages uniformly due to the influence of the new coronavirus.

With many companies in a difficult situation, how much employment can be maintained will also be the focus.
