Al Hashemi to Bloomberg: Dubai is committed to its schedule to host Expo 2020 this year

Reem Al Hashimi, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of the Executive Committee of Expo 2020 Dubai, confirmed during an interview with Bloomberg Agency that Dubai is committed to its schedule to host Expo 2020 this year.

Al-Hashemi added, "We are confident that the vaccination programs will succeed enough to open the exhibition on October 1, as 25 million people can still visit the city in this six-month event."

Reem Al Hashemi, Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of the Executive Committee of Expo 2020 Dubai, explained that there will be health measures in Expo 2020 such as wearing masks, social distancing, on-site testing and continuous sterilization, stressing that the goal of Expo is to create an unforgettable experience.

Al-Hashemi pointed out that opening the Sustainability Pavilion is, in fact, a way to entice local and international audiences to attend and learn what the UAE means about sustainability.
