The balance of the UAE Central Bank in foreign currency recorded, by the end of November 2020, about 356.46 billion dirhams, according to the latest statistics issued yesterday.

The assets of the "central" foreign currency do not usually include the reserve bracket at the bank and the special drawing rights at the International Monetary Fund.

Statistics showed that the item of bank balances and deposits with banks abroad amounted to 319.94 billion dirhams at the end of November 2020, an increase of 300 million dirhams compared to October of the same year.

As for the balance of foreign securities held to maturity, their value during last November reached 2.65 billion dirhams, while the balance of the other assets item reached 33.87 billion dirhams, compared to 33.63 billion dirhams in the previous October.

On the other hand, Central Bank data showed that its total assets reached approximately 441 billion dirhams by the end of last November, of which 291.52 billion dirhams were for the “cash and bank balances” item, while the balance for the “deposits” item reached 54.16 billion dirhams during the same month.

Regarding the balance of the item “loans and advances”, it reached 35.55 billion dirhams in November 2020, while the balance of the “investment” item during the same period reached 48.54 billion dirhams, and the balance of the “other assets” item reached 11.26 billion dirhams.
