Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week, hosted by the Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company (Masdar), announced the participation of the Prince of Monaco, Prince Albert II, in the week’s activities, with a keynote speech, during the opening of the Abu Dhabi Virtual Sustainability Week summit, which will be held on January 19.
The speech will address the topic of achieving resilience at the country level during the spread of the "Covid-19" pandemic, as the summit, in which more than 70 prominent speakers from the sustainability, business and technology sectors will participate, focuses on green recovery in the post-pandemic world.
The Minister of Industry and Advanced Technology, Special Envoy of the UAE for Climate Change, and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Masdar, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, will deliver a keynote speech at the opening of the virtual summit, which includes three sessions of about two hours each, focusing on three axes: : Restoring the wheel of life to circulation, enhancing responsibility and interaction, doing business and investment.
Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week will be held from January 18 to January 21, with the support of the Department of Energy in Abu Dhabi. It includes a series of virtual events, including the Abu Dhabi Sustainability Week summit, the General Assembly of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA), the Abu Dhabi Sustainable Finance Forum, and the Energy Forum. The 2020 edition of the "week" attracted more than 45,000 participants from more than 170 countries, and saw the participation of 10 heads of state, in addition to 160 ministers and ambassadors.
