Dubai Economy violates 9 commercial establishments that did not comply with the precautionary measures

Dubai Economy will not tolerate the violations and abuses that are monitored or reported.

The commercial control and consumer protection sector in the Dubai economy has violated nine commercial establishments that did not adhere to the precautionary measures to limit the spread of the Coronavirus (Covid-19), such as wearing masks and physical distancing, including a number of bodybuilding gyms in cooperation with the Dubai Sports Council.

Other violations focused on open market stores in Naif and Raqqa and commercial centers.

During the inspection process, the number of shops that met the conditions and precautionary measures reached 732, and the commercial activities of the violating shops varied to include the following activities:

Sports services and undertakings, bodybuilding gym, transaction follow-up services, building materials trade, workshop tools and tools trade, mobile phone trade and accessories, general trade.

Dubai Economy indicated that it will continue its rounds in cooperation with various partners, and will not tolerate the violations and abuses that are monitored or reported by the public of consumers and dealers.

Dubai Economy directed merchants to adhere to precautionary measures such as wearing masks and gloves, and to apply the principles of physical distancing.

Various segments of the public are invited to report any negative cases or phenomena in violation of the precautionary measures, through the Dubai Consumer App available on “Apple, Google and Huawei” stores, or by calling 600545555 or via the website consumerrights.ae.
