The Communications Regulatory Authority launches a “Mashura” to improve the spectrum system

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TRA) launched a recent advice aimed at the participation of spectrum users in developing and improving the spectrum management system, to provide services free from harmful interference, and to obtain permits for wireless services easily.

The authority stated that it will list all opinions and ideas, and analyze them, to study their application, and come up with results that meet users' aspirations, to obtain distinct spectrum services.

The Telecommunications Regulatory Authority stated that it recently carried out a new update on the spectrum management system, as part of its constant endeavor to reach the use of the latest regional and global systems in spectrum management, to provide safe frequencies free from harmful interference to spectrum users in the UAE.

The TRA stated that a technical team from the Authority’s Frequency Spectrum Department, in cooperation with the provider company, undertook a comprehensive development of the system in line with the requirements of the customer and users of the spectrum services, through an integrated internal and external link system that allows the issuance of permits for wireless services with minimal human intervention.

She pointed out that many advantages have been added in the updated version, including a user control panel, feedback at any time of the transaction, and the opening of new payment channels, etc., to become available to all spectrum users in the country.
