The agreement between Apple and Hyundai which aims to produce the future autonomous electric car of the American giant could soon materialize.

The two companies could sign a contract in March 2021, reports

Phonandroid

.

The first prototypes could see the light of day in 2022 and roll off the assembly lines two years later, in 2024, Reuters said.

This partnership would allow Apple to speed up production of its 100% electric and autonomous car.

The future model should be manufactured in the factories of Kia Motors, belonging to the Hyundai group.

The two firms could also buy a new plant in the United States.

The goal is to reach 100,000 vehicles in 2024 and then 400,000 eventually.

The companies have not confirmed anything

Neither company has yet confirmed this information.

For analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, relayed by

Korri.

, the time between the announcement of the partnership and the marketing of the vehicles is too short.

The financial analyst does not see Apple Car on the roads until 2028.

While Hyundai cited Apple in one of its press releases, the name of the American giant was eventually withdrawn and the Korean manufacturer was content to specify that many firms had approached them for the construction of electric vehicles.

In any case, this rumor makes Hyundai shares jump.

This Monday, January 11, in the morning, the manufacturer's price gained 14.6% and Kia 9.1%.
