Tonghai vegetables are exported overseas (the new highlights of economic and social development in various regions during the 13th Five-Year Plan)

In the fertile winter, the Qilu Lake is full of vitality, and the flat and contiguous vegetable fields are endless.

In the planting area of Xiushan Street, Tonghai County, Yunnan Province, the straight field ridges divide the fields into criss-cross grids. The grids are filled with vegetables of different varieties and fresh colors, just like a palette.

The average per capita in Dashu Community of Xiushan Street is only five cents of farmland, and the villagers are all good hands in intensive cultivation and vegetable cultivation.

"In our place, every household grows vegetables." Zhao Siwang, secretary of the Party branch of the Dashu Community, looked proud. "In the past few years, we have sold our vegetables to Thailand and Vietnam, as far as the Middle East."

Tonghai is a well-known vegetable production base and distribution center in Yunnan Province. In recent years, it has deeply promoted the structural reform of the agricultural supply side, promoted variety cultivation, quality improvement, brand building and standardized production.

Although it does not rely on the sea or along the border, 36% of Tonghai's vegetable output is sold abroad.

In 2020, the county's per capita disposable income of rural residents is expected to reach 19,615 yuan, an increase of 6,980 yuan over 2015, an average annual increase of 9.2%.

  Vegetables are exported overseas. Why?

"Good quality." Zhao Siwang replied.

Dashu Community began to promote vegetable planting in 1998. By 2016, Zhao Siwang and the villagers had a common feeling: relying on traditional production methods, it is difficult for the vegetable industry to break through the "ceiling" of development; to open up new space for development, it must aim for high quality Efficient force.

Walking into the vegetable planting area of Dashu Community, the yellow sticky insect boards and patchwork solar insect killers are quite eye-catching.

Take a closer look, and there are also newly installed sprinkler irrigation equipment in the field.

"In recent years, the infrastructure has been continuously improved. Green planting and technological planting have made our vegetables better. This is our core competitiveness." Zhao Siwang pointed to the neat vegetables in the ground and said, "We grow vegetables here and choose from varieties. The provision of fixed and organic fertilizers has unified standards and technical guidance to the row spacing and plant spacing of planting."

At the planting base of the original vegetable cooperatives in Tonghai County, vegetable farmers have taken a step forward in growing vegetables with technology.

Meteorological monitoring and forecasting services, soil environmental data monitoring and analysis... Vegetable farmer Cheng Xiuling turned on the phone, and the growing environment data of the vegetables in the base was clear at a glance.

In 2019, Cheng Xiuling joined the original vegetable professional cooperative.

Here, she was exposed to the intelligent water and fertilizer integrated machine for the first time, using the vegetable temperature and humidity and video monitoring system.

"Joining a cooperative, unifying technical standards, and unifying market sales have reduced our vegetable farmers' worries." Cheng Xiuling said.

He Lai, chairman of the original vegetable cooperative, introduced that in May 2020, Tonghai will build the agricultural Internet of Things. The original vegetable cooperative has realized the intelligentization of vegetable production, and the traceability of agricultural products is more comprehensive and accurate.

"In the future, consumers will also be able to observe the growth of vegetables through their mobile phones and realize the visual traceability of the entire production process."

If you plant it well, you must sell it well.

In the shredded radish processing workshop of Tonghai Plateau Agricultural Products Co., Ltd., workers are sorting shredded radish, and these sorted shreds will be exported to South Korea, Japan and other countries after packaging.

Don't underestimate this ordinary shredded radish processing, as the company's flagship product, the annual export volume reaches 8 million US dollars.

"A kilogram of radish sells for up to 6 dimes, and after more than a dozen processing steps, it can be worth at least 3 yuan." said Yang Wei, general manager of Tonghai Plateau Agricultural Products Co., Ltd.

In July 2019, vegetables such as shredded radish and cabbage from Tonghai Plateau Agricultural Products Co., Ltd. were transported to Shenzhen by rail for the first time, and then shipped abroad through the seaport.

"From the'quilt car' to the professional road cold chain, to the trial of the railway cold chain, the transportation methods are becoming more and more advanced and convenient. The dishes of the'big vegetable garden' in Tonghai will definitely go further." Yang Wei said.
