Energy Meter Laboratory in "DEWA" Obtains "ISO" Certificate

Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) announced that the energy meters laboratory at the authority has obtained the ISO international standards certificate (ISO 17025-2017), which specifies the requirements for the competency of measurement and calibration laboratories, and adopted by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO) and the International Electrotechnical Commission (IEC), including The standard is the technical requirements necessary to demonstrate the competence of measurement and calibration laboratories.

The managing director and CEO of Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Saeed Mohammed Al Tayer, confirmed that the new achievement that strengthens the authority's position among the largest service institutions around the world comes as a result of its commitment to provide its services according to the highest international standards related to availability, efficiency and reliability.

The Electricity Meters and Current Transformers Laboratory, which is accredited by the Emirates International Accreditation Center, in accordance with the requirements of “ISO IEC 17025: 2017”, provides a service for checking electricity meters to ensure their efficiency and accuracy before their installation.
