Tesla Model 3 -

A Tesla recently traveled 576 km without any driver intervention - or almost.

The car was fitted with the new Full-Self Driving (FSD) system currently being developed by the American company, reports

BFMTV

.

The owner of the vehicle, the American YouTuber Whole Mars Catalog, posted video of the feat on Monday.

We see the car accelerate the 576 km between SpaceX headquarters in Los Angeles and the city of San Jose.

Impressive!

A driving system still under development

On the video, we see that the Tesla Model 3 handles without problem, whether in town or on the highway.

The YouTuber intervenes only once to park his vehicle at a charging station for electric cars.

The rest of the time, it stays still and does not touch the steering wheel, except to confirm its presence to the driving system from time to time.

In recent months, some Tesla customers have been offered the opportunity to test the FSD, this very advanced driving assistant.

The goal for Elon Musk's company is to develop a fully autonomous driving system, far from the semi-autonomous device of the Autopilot.

The FSD is still in the development phase but according to the YouTuber, who tests it regularly, the system is progressing rapidly.

The FSD option is already available in the United States for 10,000 dollars per month and in France for 7,500 euros monthly.
