Etihad Aviation Training has signed an agreement with the Israeli airline, Esra Air, to train pilots on flight simulators for Etihad Airways' Airbus A320 aircraft.

Under the agreement, which was signed virtually through visual communication technology, the Israeli company will rent full flight simulators at the training facility in Abu Dhabi, provided that the training will be conducted by trainers from "Israa Air".

Etihad Aviation Training’s managing director, Captain Paolo La Cava, said: “After (Etihad Airways) announced the launch of its flights to Tel Aviv, we are continuing our efforts to enhance commercial opportunities with Israel by providing integrated training services to Esra Air.” .

He added that "Etihad Aviation Training" provides a wide range of training products and services, including flight training, cabin crew safety training, trainers and pilots training, aircraft maintenance, and others, making it one of the largest training facilities in the Middle East.

"We continue our commitment to providing highly qualified pilots by providing advanced and distinctive training facilities, and we look forward to working with (ESRA), and we expect further cooperation to consolidate this historic partnership," Lacafa added.

For his part, the CEO of "Israa" company, Yuri Serkis, said: "This agreement with (the Federation for Aviation Training) provides an opportunity to benefit from the training facility, which is located three hours by air from Israel, in addition to economic and professional benefits."
