  At 16:00 on January 5, Eastern Time (05:00 on January 6, Beijing time), the Dow closed up 167.71 points, or 0.55%, to 30,391.60 points; the Nasdaq closed up 120.51 points, or 0.95%, to 12,818.96 points ; The S&P 500 index closed up 26.21 points, or 0.71%, to 3,726.86 points.

  Most of the major technology stocks in the U.S. stocks closed up, with Apple up 1.24%, Amazon up 1%, Netflix down 0.39%, Google up 0.81%, Facebook up 0.75% and Microsoft up 0.1%.
