RIA Novosti was informed about this by the operator of the Gastrans gas pipeline.

“At the first stage, the gas pipeline will transport about 4 billion cubic meters of gas per year, which will fully cover Serbia's needs for natural gas.

By the fourth quarter of 2021, after the gas pipeline is connected to the Hungarian gas transmission system, the throughput capacity of the gas pipeline will be 12.87 billion cubic meters of gas per year, ”the company told the agency.

Earlier it became known that Serbian President Aleksandr Vucic officially launched the start-up of gas from the Turkish Stream into the connecting Bulgaria-Hungary gas pipeline, which runs through the country.

According to him, this is of great importance for Serbia.
