In November, a total of 36.04 billion yuan of lottery tickets were sold nationwide, a decrease of 1.723 billion yuan or 4.6% from the same period last year (referred to as "year-on-year").
Among them, the sales of welfare lottery agencies was 15.017 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.683 billion yuan, a decrease of 10.1%; the sales of sports lottery agencies was 21.025 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 40 million yuan, a decrease of 0.2%.
From January to November, the total sales of lottery tickets nationwide totaled 297.439 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 83.687 billion yuan or 22.0%.
Among them, the sales of welfare lottery institutions were 129.218 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 43.262 billion yuan, a decrease of 25.1%; the sales of sports lottery institutions were 168.221 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 40.425 billion yuan, a decrease of 19.4%.
Lottery sales by type
In November, the sales of lotto digital lottery tickets were 22.886 billion yuan, an increase of 2.28 billion yuan or 11.1% year-on-year; the sales of guessing lottery tickets were 9.638 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 1.235 billion yuan or 11.4%; the sales of instant lottery tickets were 3.174 billion yuan. A year-on-year increase of 300 million yuan, an increase of 10.4%; video-type lottery sales were 101.6 million yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 3.397 billion yuan, a decrease of 100%; Keno-type lottery sales were 345 million yuan, an increase of 329 million yuan, an increase of 2132.8%.
In November, the sales volume of lottery lottery, quiz, instant, video, and Keno accounted for 63.5%, 26.7%, 8.8%, 0.0% and 1.0% of the total lottery sales respectively.
From January to November, the sales of lotto digital lottery tickets totaled 198.603 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 5.755 billion yuan, a decrease of 2.8%; the sales of guessing lottery tickets were 65.248 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 45.145 billion yuan, a decrease of 40.9%; the sales of instant lottery tickets were 263.10 The sales of video lottery tickets were 6.794 billion yuan, a year-on-year decrease of 33.629 billion yuan, or 83.2%; the sales of keno-type lottery tickets were 483 million yuan, an increase of 333 million yuan, or an increase of 221.0%.
From January to November, the sales volume of lottery lottery, quiz, instant, video and keno type accounted for 66.8%, 21.9%, 8.8%, 2.3% and 0.2% of the total lottery sales respectively.
Lottery sales by region
In November, compared with the same period last year, a total of 14 provinces across the country saw an increase in lottery sales. Among them, Guangdong, Xinjiang and Guizhou increased more, with a year-on-year increase of 189 million yuan, 118 million yuan and 78 million yuan respectively.
From January to November, compared with the same period of the previous year, lottery sales in 29 provinces across the country declined.
The Ministry of Finance pointed out that lottery agencies at all levels should closely track and analyze new situations and new problems, and earnestly strengthen lottery issuance and sales to ensure the smooth operation of the market.
Financial departments at all levels should further strengthen supervision, actively create a good external environment, maintain the normal order of the market, and promote the healthy development of the lottery industry.
