The entrepreneur and manager Karl-Josef "Kajo" Neukirchen died on Boxing Day, according to WELT information, of the consequences of a Covid 19 disease.

Neukirchen, who led the industrial companies Klöckner-Humboldt-Deutz, Hoesch and Metallgesellschaft among others in the 1990s and was one of the best-known managers of his generation, was 78 years old.

Most recently he was head of the Neukirchen Group, his holding company in Eschborn. Kajo Neukirchen leaves behind a wife, two children and four granddaughters.
