Emirates Airlines is experiencing a travel boom in early January 2021

Emirates Airlines is preparing to serve a large number of its customers departing through Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport on January 2 and 3, 2021, in addition to receiving the continuous flow of arrivals to the city at a high rate.

"The reservation data indicates that the number of departures on Emirates flights during the two mentioned days will exceed 70 thousand passengers," the company said in a press statement today.

Emirates Airlines reminds its customers of the need to check travel requirements to their destinations, and to arrive and be at the airport at least three hours before the flight departure time.

Passengers are advised to consider additional time to avoid any anticipated delays due to heavy traffic on roads leading to Terminal 3 at Dubai International Airport.

Visitors to and returning to Dubai should check the specific entry requirements for passengers from the country from which they are coming.

Passengers must complete their check-in procedures at the airport three hours before take-off, regardless of their class of travel.

The counters will close one hour before each flight, and late passengers will not be accepted to ensure that flights take off on schedule.

Customers can check-in online from 48 hours to 90 minutes before flight departure.

They must also visit the check-in counters at the airport to obtain the boarding pass and verify the required documents at each destination.

In addition to the check-in counters managed by Emirates Airline employees, the airline provides its customers with the option to use self-service kiosks to check-in and hand over bags.

There are 16 kiosks and 32 delivery machines in Terminal 3, which contributes to reducing customers' waiting time during peak periods.

The service is available to travelers to all destinations except the United States of America, Canada, China, India and Hong Kong due to the additional requirements of these countries.

Emirates Airlines passengers can also use the biometric track, which provides them with a seamless, contactless transportation through Terminal 3 Dubai International Airport.

The fast track reduces document checks and queue times.

Customers have the option to complete immigration procedures using the latest biometric technology based on facial recognition via the boarding gates and the smart tunnel.

After completing travel procedures, travelers are advised to be at the boarding gates 45 minutes before the flight departure times, as the gates close 20 minutes before the scheduled time.

Late passengers will not be accepted to ensure the departure of flights on time
