This means that Lincang City, Yunnan Province will end the history of no railroads, and it will only take 1 hour and 37 minutes to go from "Wind Flower Snow Moon" in Dali to "World Wa Township" Lincang.
The Dali Railway starts from Dali City, the capital of Dali Bai Autonomous Prefecture, all the way south, passes through Weishan County and Nanjian County in Dali Prefecture, crosses the Lancang River and enters Lincang City via Yun County. 160 kilometers per hour, the line is 201 kilometers in length, and new passenger stations such as Weishan, Yunxian and Lincang are established.
At the initial stage of operation of the Dali-Lincang Railway, the railway department will operate 1 pair of trains from Kunming to Lincang each day, with a running time of 3 hours and 37 minutes, which is about 6 hours shorter than road transportation; 3 pairs of trains from Dali to Lincang, the fastest running time 1 hour and 37 minutes, which is about 3 hours shorter than road transportation.

Lincang, named after the Lancang River, borders Myanmar with three counties of Zhenkang, Cangyuan, and Gengma, and is an important node on the Southern Silk Road and the Ancient Tea Horse Road.
There are many ethnic minorities in Lincang with strong ethnic customs. Cangyuan Wa Autonomous County is one of only two Wa Autonomous counties in the country.
