Peskov spoke about the state of the Russian economy amid the pandemic

He cited the example of countries "which pumped hundreds of billions and even trillions of their currency in their economies."

"Did this save their economy, the world economy, from falling by 4%?"

- said the press secretary.

According to him, in spite of the fact that Russia has also "dropped significantly" and will "get out of this" in the spring, the Russian economy has sagged less compared to other countries. 

Peskov also stressed that the Russian economy is "quite mobile."

Earlier, the President of Russia said that the COVID-19 pandemic has become a serious challenge for the economy and social sphere of Russia, as well as a difficult test for ordinary citizens.
